Ziv and Franc came to Ærø from halfway across the world, just to be able to say "I do" to each other. To affirm what they knew for years, that this day would come. That their love would be recognized by law. They had held each other through all kinds of challenges and tragedies. It was heartbreaking and beautiful. To see them open up in the safe and accepting space of this island, to record these moments of tenderness is a memory that I treasure.
